  • James Newsome

    James has been working in global markets and alternative investments for 20 years.

    James led fund development at Merrill Lynch’s Alternative Investment Group in London from 2000-2009. At Merrill Lynch James designed, originated and placed mezzanine funds, loan funds and other alternative asset programmes for global institutional investors, achieving a series of market firsts.

    In 2010 James founded Arbour, an FCA regulated capital market group specialising in private credit and debt solutions for institutional investors.

    James holds a BA from the University of Sussex and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

  • Alexander Thiel

    Alexander is a corporate finance specialist with over 20 years’ experience in originating, structuring and executing corporate and project debt transactions across a variety of markets and sectors.

    Alexander spent 5 years at WestLB in London as Managing Director, heading a successful structured commodity finance origination platform and 13 years with SEB Merchant Bank in Stockholm.

    In 2012, Alexander co-founded Scandinavian Capital Partners, a pan-European debt advisor, arranger, and manager focused on lending to small and medium sized businesses (SMEs).

  • Till Tolksdorf

    Till has been been in developing finance and alternative investments for more than 10 years.

    For the BaFin regulated ProCredit Group he was Member of Management Board of the German ProCredit Bank in Ecuador where he was responsible for Private Banking, Retail Banking and Human Resources.

    After joining Arbour in 2017 as a Partner, Till was responsible for business and product development of the German operations.

    He holds a Diploma in Political Science at Freie University of Berlin where he specialised in international financial markets and labour markets.
